A private 3-day route from Ella hill country through Yala National Park and on to Mirissa or Galle beaches.
The Ella to Yala to Mirissa route is one of Sri Lanka's best three-day circuits. You leave the cool hill country at Ella, pass through the lowland plains to reach Yala for a morning jeep safari, and then continue west to the south coast for two or three nights at Mirissa, Tangalle, or Galle.
With a private driver, timing works around the Yala jeep schedule. Morning game drives start early, so arriving the night before Yala and departing after the morning session is the most practical arrangement. We can coordinate with your jeep safari booking.
Drive from Ella to the Yala area (approximately 2 to 2.5 hours via Wellawaya). Check in to a lodge near the national park gate before evening.
Early morning jeep safari inside Yala National Park (jeep booked separately). Best chance of leopard, elephant, and waterbirds. Return to lodge after the morning session.
After the morning game drive, continue west to Mirissa, Tangalle, or Matara. Arrive for an afternoon on the beach.
Optional continuation to Galle Fort for lunch and the UNESCO walled town. Or extend beach time before continuing north or heading to the airport.
