If you are flying in from India, Colombo is often night one: Galle Face, a city hotel, then the road to Kandy or the south coast. The hotels below are ones Indian travellers commonly search and book on MakeMyTrip, Taj and ITC sites, and Indian wedding-travel coverage. They are listed so you can plan a pickup. Kandy Transfers is not their hotel taxi, and the hotels do not book or pay me.

Kollupitiya, on Galle Road, a short ride from the Galle Face strip and a long-standing city hotel on Indian booking sites. Useful if your plan is museums, shopping, and a next-morning departure inland. Pickup is at the hotel, as a private hire.
The historic hotel on Galle Face Green. Indian guests often name it when they want the green, the sunset, and an easy walk. Verandah pickup works. Say if you have heavy luggage so the car can stop at the practical entrance, not the lawn side.
Waterfront Colombo, at the Galle Face end toward the port. Guests search it by name for sea-view stays. It is close to Taj Samudra and ITC on the map, and still a separate drop. Put the hotel name in the message.
On Beira Lake, not on the oceanfront strip. Indian OTAs list it often for families who want a pool and a city base. Airport logic is the same. The pin is different from Galle Face, so do not write only "Colombo 3".
